How do I set up my WAP phone?

In order to use the Curryhouse.net WAP site on your phone an open WAP gateway is required with dial-up access via an ISP.  We suggest WAPHQ.  WAPHQ can offer a mobile phone Internet access service with no set up charge or monthly fees.  They provide a service on a national local rate 0845 number. The WAPHQ services are accessible to all WAP mobile users in the UK (and users in certain other countries), independent of their network operator.

The two ways to configure your WAP phone to use the WAPHQ service:

The easy way

Click here to automatically configure your Ericsson R320, R380, Nokia 7110 or 9110 mobile phones via the WAPHQ Over-The-Air (OTA) service to use their free access WAP gateway.  Simply enter your name, phone model, number and press the 'Send now' button.  Once a 'Service Settings Received' message has been received and saved you just need to activate the profile in the phones connections settings.

The hard way

Click here for instructions on how to manually set up the Nokia 7110 to access the Curryhouse.net WAP site.
