Paris, arguably the cuisine capital of the world, also boasts a surprisingly large number of Indian restaurants.  In April 2000 the curryhouse team had a weekend break in the city of romance!

Passage Brady
The best concentration of restaurants is in Passage Brady which is about three-quarters of a mile away from the Eurostar terminal at Gare du Nord (nearest Metro Chateau d'eau).  A good detailed map can be found on the Paris yellow pages site, click here to view the map.

Choice
As in the UK the quality of food is mixed but there are a number of real gems.  There is probably less choice of cuisine than at home, Tandoori is the most popular.  We couldn't find any Baltis though!  Most curryhouses are licensed and, it being France, have a pretty good wine list.  Our wine buff's advice is to try a Gewürztraminer which enhances the flavour of the curry

You can easily find the Paris curryhouses by typing Paris in the area to search box on the home page.

Not everything in Paris is tasteful, we managed to find this tiger jacketed bottle of beer, appropriately in Poojas in Passage Brady.  Our advice is definitely stick to Cobra!

We will be adding to our features section over the next couple of months.  Please drop us a line to tell us what you'd like to see here.  Do you know of any curryhouses in other fur flung destinations.
